| Stewart's uses Perma-Liner's point repair system which restores and improves the structural integrity of a pipeline without excavation. We can "point repair" the damaged area(s) and restore the sewer to its original capacity. This saves the owner 50% or more based on conventional methods.
The highest quality materials are used. The cure-in-place liner is made of stitched felt with PVC and PU coatings. The PVC and PU coatings act as chemical resistant barriers to ensure the product's performance. A specialized water resistant epoxy resin to impregnate the felt tube is also chemical resistant and will not shrink or peal over long periods of time. The resin does not have a noticeable odor to alarm property owners either. After the felt is impregnated and ready to install, it is slipped over an inflatable flow through carrier and pulled into place. Once the carrier is in position it is pressurized to a predetermined pressure. The liner is pressed against the pipe, forming a bond with the internal circumference of the existing host pipe. It is held in place for approximately 2 1/2 hrs while the resin cures. During that time, the flow in pipe continues through the carrier to eliminate by-pass pumping. Once cured, the carrier is removed from the pipe.
